We have the pleasure to invite you to participate in its Fifth Environmental Symposium of German-Arab-Scientific Form for Environmental Studies taking place at the Lebanese American University, Byblos, Lebanon on September 20 - 21, 2010.

The aim of this symposium is the exchange of experiences between science, industry and politics as well as the information of a greater public about the “Impact of Global Warming on Water Resources in the Middle East and North Africa”. The symposium wants to contribute to environmental protection and to the understanding among nations. At the end of the conference we offer a field trip and a visit to some important historic places in Lebanon.

Abstract submissions for oral or poster presentations are welcomed on any of the following topics: Climatic Changes; Water Resources, Protection and Management; Waste Water; Water conflicts; Air and Soils Pollution and Protection. Authors are requested to submit Abstract by e-mail as a Word file attachment to the Symposium E-mail: info@german-arab-scientific-forum.de or E-mail: zereini@iau.uni-frankfurt.de by April 15, 2010. The official language is English.

Aim of the Environmental Symposium

Poster Presentation


There will be a special hall for poster presentation. The poster should be designed in a proper way with a maximum dimensions 1.5 m x 1m.


Exhibition

The conference offers a unique opportunity for corporations, governmental agencies and academic institutions to display their products, services, new technologies and progress in their research.

Cost: 100 € /m2


Field Trip


 

A post conference field trip for 3 days (22 – 24 September 2010) is planned. The Field trip focuses on water resources of Lebanon. Visits to points of interest in Lebanon have been planned.

Cost: 200 €
